About the author, Shota Miyashita

1992 - Founded in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture
1996 - Moved to Kisarazu, Chiba Prefecture
2010 - Worked as a hairdresser in Omotesando, Tokyo
2013 - Worked at a restaurant in Omotesando, Tokyo
2017 - Discovered pottery, moved to Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, and became an apprentice
2019 - Became independent and set up a studio in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture

Using a variety of techniques, mainly focusing on glazes that have been developed through unique research, such as mixing amounts as small as 0.001g and firing in 1 degree increments, he collaborates and produces with a wide range of genres.

In order to accelerate his own creativity, he has hired a team to produce his works and has launched "HINOMIYA", an updated product line that views the "mass production techniques" of Mino ware, his base, as a "technique" from an artist's perspective, embodying the way of being a new generation ceramic artist.
