Background/Profile

Born in Naha City. Graduated from the Department of Art and Crafts, Faculty of Education, University of the Ryukyus in 1985. Completed graduate school at the same university in 1995.
Since 1985, he has worked as a high school teacher, mainly in the field of art, while also working as an artist, participating in solo exhibitions and group exhibitions of installation works that transcend the boundaries of media, including painting, photography, computer graphics, sculpture, and ceramics.
Since 1999, he has led Mabashi High School to three national victories at Photography Koshien, a runner-up finish at the National High School Design Championship, and third place at Manga Koshien, and was awarded the Okinawa Times Education Award in 2008.
