This glass wind chime is modeled after a moon jellyfish. It was made under the supervision of Atolla, a jellyfish specialty store. (Atolla is a friend of ours and lives nearby.) He gave us advice from an expert's perspective on the opening of the umbrella, the shape of the cuts, the length of the arms, and so on, and we paid particular attention to every detail... Also, since it is a little heavy, a wire is used and a bearing is sandwiched between the bills to prevent them from breaking when they are spun around. (The bills are made of thin stainless steel plates.)
The delicate glass rings make sounds when they hit the legs (arms). Four different sounds can be heard alternating.
