This handkerchief is made from mosquito net material, a tradition that dates back to the Edo period, and is woven and sewn in Nara Prefecture.
It becomes softer and fluffier with each wash, and its excellent breathability, absorbency, and quick-drying properties make it so comfortable you won't want to let it go.
Breathability: Quick drying Absorbency: Absorbs sweat and moisture with cotton Flexibility: Lightweight and gentle to the touch, thanks to the air content
When folded in thirds vertically and horizontally, it has a comfortable volume that fits perfectly in the palm of your hand.
The reversible two-color combination allows you to choose the color on the outside to suit your mood and fashion of the day.
The tassel at the end is made from bundled hemp thread. Not only does it add an accent, but because it is shaped like a broom, it is said to ward off evil spirits, and the maker hopes that people will wear it and cherish it like a talisman.
This three-color combination evokes the image of longevity and is perfect for Respect for the Aged Day.
Before use, wash the fabric thoroughly with warm water to remove any glue. Then, place it in a laundry net and wash it twice in the washing machine to make it soft enough to use.
*You can use fabric softener, but not chlorine bleach.
Due to the characteristics of mosquito nets, they shrink by about 3 to 5 cm when washed, but the size has been designed taking this into consideration.
