15 Omuro Zakura Hand-Thrown Japanese Bowl

Omuro Zakura is a delicate pale-pink piece inspired by the famous Omuro cherry blossoms of Ninna-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kyoto. Its gentle color evokes the joyful feeling of seeing cherry trees in full bloom, bringing warmth and happiness to the table.

Bright and elegant, this versatile bowl is ideal for serving side dishes such as simmered vegetables, dressed salads, and other small dishes. It can also be enjoyed as a café-style bowl or as a slightly larger matcha bowl.

The beautiful finger-drawn ridges along the side add texture and character to the piece while highlighting NINSHU’s distinctive craftsmanship.

Each bowl is individually handcrafted and thrown on the potter’s wheel, giving every piece subtle variations in shape, color, glaze, and texture that make it uniquely its own.
