Omuro Zakura Okuizome Set – Japanese Baby Celebration Tableware

This Omuro Zakura Okuizome Set is distinguished by its bowls featuring the traditional Japanese *Inome* motif.

Although the Inome motif resembles a heart, it is an ancient Japanese design traditionally associated with protection from misfortune and the welcoming of good fortune. With its auspicious symbolism, it is especially meaningful for *okuizome*, a Japanese celebration held to wish for a child’s healthy growth and a life blessed with food.

The set is also designed to be enjoyed long after the celebration. All pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe, making them practical tableware for everyday family meals as your child grows.

The set includes five traditional vessels, each with its own purpose:

**Tsubowan – Upper Left**
For cold dishes such as *namasu* (vinegared vegetables) and *shira-ae* (vegetables dressed with tofu).

**Hirawan – Upper Right**
For warm dishes and grilled foods.

**Koshidaka – Center**
For pickles and small side dishes.

**Oyawan – Lower Left**
For rice.

**Shiruwan – Lower Right**
For clear soup or miso soup.

Combining the gentle beauty of Omuro Zakura with traditional Japanese symbolism, this handcrafted set is designed not only to celebrate an important milestone, but also to become part of the child’s everyday life for years to come.
