31 Kaguya Wakana-Green Hand-Thrown Serving Bowl

Kaguya is a delicate wakana-green piece inspired by Princess Kaguya, whose beauty embodies both grace and brilliance in Japanese tradition.

Individually thrown on the potter’s wheel, this generously sized bowl has a dynamic handcrafted form and is designed to bring a sense of celebration to the table. Its versatile shape makes it ideal for pasta, salads, simmered dishes, shared meals, and a wide variety of other cuisines.

In Japanese, the expression “utsuwa ga ookii,” literally “to have a large vessel,” is used to describe a generous and broad-minded person. This association gives a large bowl an especially auspicious meaning, making it a thoughtful gift for weddings and other celebrations.

Combining meaningful symbolism with traditional craftsmanship, this one-of-a-kind NINSHU bowl brings elegance, character, and a special sense of occasion to the table.
