[Kono Genyo] 02_Climbing kiln porcelain vase

Firing porcelain in a climbing kiln is rare these days. The randomness of ash being deposited or glaze flowing is the polar opposite of porcelain, and produces results that cannot be calculated. The appeal is that you can never make the same thing twice. This work was selected as a work of art at the 52nd Zentoten Exhibition in 2023, and was also highly praised by art critic Kenji Kaneko. It is a highly praised work that is wild yet dignified.
