This plate has a distinctive patterned lacquer finish on the front and can also be used to place small items. The design is a reflection of the late summer sunset seen from Cape Kasa in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, mixed with the color of the sea. It is painted on both sides with a gradation of orange and a different color of light shining into the sea.
