While drawn to the margins of Japanese and ink paintings, he was influenced by his former teacher to pursue contemporary art and perform installations and other works using ceramics.

As an artist, he has been active in solo and group exhibitions of his installation works, which are not bound by the boundaries of media such as painting, photography, computer graphics, sculpture, and ceramics.
